Make A Difference Day
Saturday, October 22, 2011 is Make A Difference Day!
Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing community service project in the nation – a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Created by USA Weekend Magazine, the 20th annual Make A Difference Day will occur on October 22, 2011 from 8:30am – 12:00pm with a volunteer recognition lunch immediately following. On this day, across the nation, corporations, government leaders, charitable organizations, and everyday Americans will join together to make a positive impact in their communities. The headquarters of Troy’s event will be at the First Place Christian Center located at 16 W. Franklin Street.
Project Sites
We will be making a difference at the following project sites:
- Partners in Hope
- Troy-Miami County Public Library
- Family Connections
- St. Joseph’s House
- St. Patricks’ Soup Kitchen
- Troy Main Street
- WACO Histroical Society
- Lincoln Community Center
- Miami Valley Veterans Museum
- Hospice of Miami County
- Miami County Animal Shelter
- Bruckner Nature Center
- Miami County Recovery Council
- Troy Community Works

7-9AM Free Breakfast for Volunteers at Panera Breads
8:30AM Registration at First Place, 16 W. Franklin St.
9AM-12PM Making a Difference @ Assigned Worksite
12-1PM Volunteer Lunch at First Place
